Autograph letter signed "DELAFORGE, Homme de Loy, cy-devant Député de BLOIS." written from CHATEAUDUN (Eure-et-Loir) on 13 Prairial An 6 (June 1, 1798), to Louis Marie de La REVELLIÈRE-LÉPEAUX, Member of the Executive Directory at the Director's Palace in Paris. 2 pages in-4°. "Dear Director. A former colleague of mine at the Assemblée Nationale Constituante, who is delighted to see you at the head of the Government, is confidently asking you to speed up the justice he is demanding. My mother, Hélène Morice FOUCHERIE, widow of Jean DELAFORGE, a hatter merchant in Châteaudun, is 72 years old... She is registered on the list of Emigrants (for the King's cause) in the Sarthe Department for a pitiful property with an income of 200 pounds...". He asks that his request for removal from this list be expedited.
