Franchise "Postes, B. de C. L.". (Corps Législatif). Paris 28 Floréal An 11 (18 May 1803). 2 pages in-4°: "Yesterday, my dear good friend, I received your letter... I cannot yet tell you anything definite about the War, or even the day our Session will end. It is likely, however, that at next Monday's session we will have a definitive view of the War, and it is possible that at that session, or at the next, we will part company. I have God's assurance that our protégés are included in the Minister's work, but it won't be until tomorrow that I'll be able to know, even on the sly, whether they are appointed by the 1st Consul..."
