Fencing/ Gaudin/ Olympic Games/ Fencing/ Georges Villa/ Cartoons Four original signed caricatures by the talented and eclectic Georges Villa (1883-1965), watercolor, gouache and India ink: a) the superb Dr. Raoul Heïdié (1888-1978), full-length, with dedication (published in his album "Haut les masques", p 56). This Norwegian swordsman, living in France, competed in the 1924 and 1928 Games. 29.5 x 20.5 cm b) Portrait of master hors-catégorie and four-time Olympic champion Lucien Gaudin d'Arras (1886-1934), inscribed "World foil and epee champion, 1910-21". 22 x 14 cm c) Two color caricatures in the same frame from his collection: "De taille et d'estoc, aïeules célèbres" (on the back, blue grease pencil, the aïeules are "l'épée du gladiateur, sanguinolente", and "l'épée de d'Artagnan."). 20 x 28 cm each, with frame: 35 x 51 cm
