Monument to Christopher Columbus and Marcel Duchamp. Paris, Éditions Georges Visat, 1968-1971. In-folio sheet (38.5x29cm), cover and spine and first cover of blue cloth slipcase decorated with Marcel Duchamp's initials in silver lettering. The album features 13 original etchings (10 in color, 3 in black) all signed and numbered by the artists: Pierre Alechinsky, Arman, Enrico Baj, Hans Bellmeer, Camille Bryen, Max Ernst, Raoul Hausmann, Man Ray (2 etchings), Roberto Matta, Joan Miró, Hans Richter, Dorothea Tanning. Each plate is The unique edition of this tribute to Marcel Duchamp, begun in September 1968, a month before his death, was not completed until March 1971. Limited edition of 160 copies, including 35 reserved for artists and collaborators, on Arches vellum and Lana pur fil vellum. Ours is No. 12. In its original slipcase, in very good condition.
