Nasa. LARGE FORMAT. Historic photograph of the APOLLO 8 Mission, the first to bring man closer to lunar orbit. This is the first photograph of the Earth taken by man from lunar orbit on December 24, 1968. On this occasion, the astronaut declared: "The immense solitude of the Moon is an impressive source of inspiration, and it makes you realize what you have on Earth. Earth from here is a great oasis to the vastness of space." Later chromogenic print. Numbering on front. Legend on back label. 40.6 x 40.6cm with margins.
