Michel 1er BOUVARD de FOURQUEUX (1686 - died at Château de FOURQUEUX, Yvelines) Magistrate and Administrator, Procureur du Roi à la Chambre des Comptes de PARIS from 1716 to 1743. He organized the restitution to the Trésor des Chartes of medieval manuscripts owned by his uncle Rouillé du Coudray - Signed on a certificate of nobility, made in Paris on August 19, 1736. 1 folio page: "Nous, Conseiller du Roy en ses Conseils et son Procureur Général en sa Chambre des Comptes. Certify to the King and to Monseigneur le Chancelier that Paul Gaspard François LE GENDRE, Conseiller en Parlement, has, in the said Chambre des Comptes, no relatives, nor allies in the prohibited Degree that could prevent him from being granted the Office of President of the said Chambre. In witness whereof we have signed the present certificate. BOUVARD DE FOURQUEUX.
