Portrait vase with stirrup handle depicting the god Aï Apaec on a pedestal. Dull brown ceramic. Height: 20 cm Depth: 11 cm Mochica culture, ca. 100-700 A.D. Peru. Surface wear, otherwise well preserved. The god is recognizable by his wide-open mouth with visible fangs and wide-open eyes. He is the main deity of the Mochicas.
