COIFFURE - ALEXANDRE de PARIS (Louis-Alexandre Raimon dit, 1922-2008, Master hairdresser, pupil of the famous Antoine de Paris, nicknamed by Cocteau the Sphinx of hairdressing, he was the hairdresser of Haute-Couture, the hairdresser of stars and crowned heads) / Important set of 18 drawings by Russian artist Irène FANSHAWE (1912-1989), who worked for Monsieur Alexandre in the late '50s and early '60s: 10 large format (53 x 37.5 cm), 5 smaller (average 24 x 31 cm) plus 3 of a technical nature - the 10 large ones in watercolor, are signed Irène (2 are on tinted paper) - of the 5 smaller ones, in watercolor ink, 3 are signed I Fanshawe and 2 with her initials IF, they are captioned Ambassadeur présentation des Débutantes 1960 (Bal des Débutantes à l'Hôtel Ambassadeur de Cannes), Les Floralies - Reine Marguerite, Les Floralies - Rose thé, Coiffure Vélasquez -face, 1 uncaptioned is dated 1959 - the other 3 drawings (average 21 x 27 cm) are technical, each with a caption: Mme Nelson, JJ Vital and Roberta, with indications face, nuque, 2 are signed by Alexandre himself and dated 1958, all 3 are countersigned IF by Irène Fanshawe, confirming their collaboration.
