Kaiser GUILLAUME II (Whilhelm II, 1859-1941) / Original Diploma of the Prussian Commemorative Medal of the South-West African Campaign (37.5 x 28 cm) signed in his own hand by Kaiser Wilhelm II, given in Wilhelshöhe on August 13, 1907 : the diploma itself is engraved and illustrated with the emblems of the Prussian Empire, and the title in the frame is handwritten and calligraphic; the Kaiser addresses his General-Adjutant, Cavalry General Adolf von DEINES, formerly Commanding General of the 8th Army Corps, whom he thanks for his services to him during the revolts in South-West Africa, by awarding him the Steel Medal - Adolf von Deines (1845-1911), a Prussian Cavalry General, was very close to Wilhelm II, who entrusted him with the education of his sons, appointing him "Governor-in-Chief of the Kaiser's Sons", He later promoted him to General Commandant of the 8th Prussian Army Corps, and in 1906 appointed him Adjutant-General attached to his person (aide-de-camp) - The diploma is accompanied by its white metal medal, a model reserved for non-combatants, which the collector has presented hanging in a neat frame with a colored reproduction of the diploma (40.5 x 32.5 cm) - On the back, label mentioning provenance: Jan Kube sale, October 19, 2002, no. 113 - various documents on General Deines are enclosed.
